Pregnancy Yoga teacher Training course
Weekend residential intensive Pre-conception, Pregnancy and post-natal Yoga Teacher Training course. This course is open to already qualified 200hour teacher or midwives or other related health professionals.

About The Event
Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training course proposed schedule: Yoga Alliance professionals certified.
(please note some timings/classes may be changed according to guest speakers availabilty)
Topic: Early Pregnancy
9:00am Hatha Yoga sequence for early pregnancy, sukkah rhythm
11am Anatomy and physiology/stages in Pregnancy and general concerns, questions and answers session - presentation with midwife.
1pm lunch break
2pm: talk on vedic philosophy and pregnancy with Jnandev
3pm: Kati chakra kriya sequence and Pranayama - Pranava AUM with mudras and sounds
4:30pm GP Dr Catherine guest speaker on women’s health
6:30 – 7:30 ‘live’ Pregnancy Yoga class/observation (if students are available)
Topic Late Pregnancy (28wks – 40wks/term)
9:15am Hatha Yoga for later pregnancy, marmanastanam kriya
11:15am Presentation with Rachel Crow, womb meditations and cycle charting
1pm lunch break
2pm - Pranayamas: savitri rythym, Brahma mudra, kukkriya and the birthing breath (students practice leading the birthing breath)
4pm reviewing practices students want to re-cap/ students’ practice
Students certified after completing and submitting:
- 1 x detailed case study
- 3 x Pregnancy lesson plans with written feedback from students
- 1 x post-natal yoga lesson plan
- Essay on the benefits of Yoga during pregnancy?
- Describe practices that work on the pelvic floor in yoga and why is it important?
- In what situations should you not allow the pregnant student to participate in the yoga class and what might you need to do?
