Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to master the art and science of yoga, with a particular emphasis on Pranayama, the control and regulation of Prana (life-force) primarily through the breath. Deepika's journey in yoga began at a young age and she has spent numerous years honing her skills, studying under respected spiritual teachers, and immersing herself in this ancient Rishculture Ashtanga discipline. Her vast knowledge and profound understanding of Gitananda yoga, coupled with her unique teaching style, has made her a sought-after mentor and guide, both in the UK and internationally. Deepika has delivered numerous workshops through the charity Holistic Yoga Care Wales enabling individuals undergoing different challenges within their lives, to move forward and develop significant positive life changes, such as being able to join the workforce again or improve their energy levels.
Since childhood she has been an advent seeker of truth and meaning in life, spending time in Buddhist, Christian, New age and Hindu communities to deeper understand the multiple paths to inner peace. As someone who went through intense respiratory problems throughout her younger life, with multiple hospital admissions and ventilation she began to understand the direct connection between breath capacity, life force and energy levels. Deepika found after a long search that the Yogic system provided a complete answer in its science of life, the practices and thought within it completely rebuilt and rejuvenated her lung function to a new state of being! With a deep passion for these teachings which are found at the deepest level in the Gitananda Tradition which is one of the rare living traditions with an unbroken line of masters to this day.
